The Landcruisers driving on a dirt road.

Wagon Mound, A Lake, and Cows.

This most recent camping trip to Wagon Mound, NM was beautiful, but it left us exhausted. Several miles of driving on a dirt road in the green fields of northern New Mexico to reach a small lake. The road to the lake was a county road that sat on a large ranch, with plenty of happy residents. We had to tell some of them to MOOve out of the way.

The view of the lake.

Unfortunately, our lake destination was more crowded than we thought, not just with people, but with mosquitoes too. All the land around the road was private property, so we decided to head home. Our first 12 hour camping trip was definitely an adventure.
